About Me

My name is Ronica. I am an aspiring nurse who is passionate about birth. I have two daughters, both born in hospitals and I have attended three other hospital births so far.
During my own pregnancies I did as much research as I possibly could about pregnancy, labor and delivery. Probably a little too much. But I fell in love with the knowledge. Later, through my job as a parent educator, I learned many women find they are carried along in the birth process by the doctors and nurses and don't feel they have the knowledge or rights to actively control their own birth experience.
I'm here to change that. I want to empower women to create the kind of birth experience they want, whatever that may be. Even when things don't go medically as planned, you can have a sense of control in most any situation.
